First and foremost meet my senior dog Wu! She’s a west highland white terrier and 8 years young. When I adopted her, her name was cupcake, and if I can tell you 1 thing about Wu, it’s that she is not a cupcake! She loves all things dirt: rolling in it, digging in it, even eating it. Most people even think she’s a boy and I usually don’t correct them because she is all things boy, hence why the name cupcake was never going to work for us. Her new and now name came from calling her Westie Wu, which eventually just shortened to Wu. You can usually find her napping and she thoroughly enjoys her beauty sleep. Do not wake her up, I repeat do not wake her up. However she is a lover and the main reason I accredit all of my dogs as well behaved. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her temperament and wants a westie of their own!
Next up we have Boo, or boo bear, or Bella boo. You get it, everyone has like 3 names minimum in this house. Boo, a chihuahua min-pin mix, was a rescue from a very abusive home. She was skin and bones when I got her, terribly behaved, scared, and shaking all of the time. Food anxiety, separation anxiety, walking on leash anxiety… you name it, boo had it. Her anxiety is also the reason you will always see her with a little shirt on. It helps her tremendously. Let me just say, that first year after adopting her was one of the hardest. After losing countless pairs of heels and replacing an apt’s carpeting upon moving out something clicked. She realized she no longer had to fear a human hand, or fight for her next meal, or pee on the carpet because she didn’t know when her next walk would be. Boo bear is now the most loving little dog, and will be the first to hop in your lap when you stop by. She smiles for any males who come over (little flirt) and loves nothing more than ruling the backyard in a game of fetch. Oh, and she bosses the Doberman around ALL day.
Without further ado we have Mo, or Mo Mo, or Mr. Mo. Originally Mo was my boyfriend Rob’s dog and named Romo. However lets be realistic, this is a Seahawks household and I wasn’t allowing that. Go Hawks. Mo Mo is a shih tzu who came from a pet store here in Las Vegas that the owner tried to burn down for insurance reasons (which is just unimaginable to me). Thankfully, none of the dogs were injured or killed and Mr. Mo now has a wonderful home with all the treats he can handle! He is not a fan of haircuts or groomers so he usually gets his haircuts by yours truly and ends up looking more homeless than when we started, but he didn’t have to go to the groomer so it’s really a win-win for him. He is also the weirdest dog I’ve ever met whose talents include trust falling and refusing to give kisses on the lips.
My 4th little bundle of joy would be my little baby Rodeo. Also known as Roadie, road dog, or golden child. I’m not saying I have a favorite, but he’s definitely top 5. He was an owner surrender at 2 pounds and we had no idea what breed he was. Thankfully he kept growing because 2 lbs is too small. As he grew, he went through a weird stage where he looked like a coyote. He’s always made little dens, been skittish, and generally terrified of people, which led us to really consider the possibility of him being part coyote. However were pretty positive he’s a Pomeranian mix. He is the biggest mamas boy ever, but also a tough guy. Mama’s boy in a leather jacket is the best way I can describe my little nugget Rodeo.
Last, but not least, is Heisman the doberman pinscher. Also know as Doberbutt, or dober, or butt. Ha! We adopted her from a litter here in Las Vegas at 8 weeks. She is the biggest derp of any dog I have ever had but is also just the prettiest girl. She’s clumsy, and bossy, and quite possibly more needy than me. She sneaks into bed every night pretending to be “too cold” on her dog bed and proceeds to make herself at home on her king size bed. If that doesn’t get you out of the way of her bed, she’s sure to clear the room with her butt. Gassiest dog ever… hence her name, Doberbutt. She’s lucky she’s so pretty.
I hope you enjoyed getting to know my fur babies! Never hesitate to contact me for more doggy info, training questions, or just funny stories! I can talk about dogs all day!
