NYE Bar Cart Blog Hop

I can’t believe it’s already time to ring in 2018! It seems like just yesterday I was planning my 2017 New Years Gatsby soiree! This year we will be celebrating a little more low key, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be whipping up some cocktails and staying up until the ball drops! I wanted to share with you guys how I style my bar cart step by step and hopefully help you with some fun ideas for styling your own at home!

As you can see, I have a fairly small bar cart that cannot accommodate a full drink making station, however I style mine based off of the cocktails I will be serving at my party so my guests know just what to expect. I can then set up an actual cocktail making area at my island or any available counter space within my home! By grouping your choice of liquor with it’s accompanying glass, it makes it easy on guests to figure out what they would like to drink and where to start with making it.

First I started by stripping down my bar cart, covering it in confetti, and adding a cute little banner I found in the Target dollar spot!

Next I added a cake tier, not only to add depth and dimension, but to also act as a divider for my cocktail sections.

On here I added my champagne accompanied by flutes filled with stir straws and sparklers!

Next up I created a gin martini area on a small silver tray that I picked up at the dollar store. I added confetti into my martini glasses, but you could easily add small candies, wine glass markers, or party horns!

As you can see, between the tier and the tray, I’ve let guests know I’ll be offering champagne and martinis so far.

Now call me old fashioned, but a bar cart isn’t complete without some whiskey! I pour mine into a decanter, but you can easily use the original bottle here as well.

For those of your guests that are strictly here to party, I found these Moet Minis at Costco that you stick the little gold piece into and create your very own champagne flute straight from the bottle! What a treat!

I also added my tuxedo clad bartender “Ted” to complete the look up top and add a fun element to it. There are no rules with how to style a bar cart, so go crazy and really make it your own!!

Underneath I stocked some Pellegrino and my fancy scotch with my fancy crystal glasses. Its kind of like my little speakeasy down there, so unless you request the good stuff, its gonna stay a bit hidden! I also added some fun party hats and another little party Moet!

Bar carts are so much fun to style for all occasions! Even if you aren’t big on alcohol, you can always make a mock-tail station filled with fun bubbly drinks, fresh fruit for garnish, ice cream, cotton candy, and party props!! Over the holidays mine served as a hot cocoa bar with all the fixins your heart desired. I always have fun coming up with new ideas on how to use them throughout the year. Hopefully I’ve helped get some ideas going for your own new years parties coming up! And so the 2018 adventure begins…
